EcoHeroes Africa

Ecoheroes Africa project is an African Youth Food Security and Climate Change Ambassador Program (AYFSCCAP) that works with youth ambassador across Africa to sustainable fight climate change while ensuring food security. To achieve this, the ambassadors will plant 10million trees and set up 1000 community/ school gardens in 10 years. The AYFSCCAP will also mentor and train 1000 youths across Africa on agribusiness. 

You have a great chance of making a difference in your community. We work with 500 ambassadors annually, and you can be one of our pioneer ambassadors. As an Ambassadors will work on two other major projects;

  • Green School. The ambassadors will work with our teams and partners across the continent to set up 1000 school and community gardens in their respective communities. (learn more)  
  • Green Africa: to effectively implement our dream of a green and hunger-free Africa, the Ambassadors will plant over 10 million fruit trees across the continent. (learn more)

ELIGIBILITY

Ambassadors: 

  • Youth aged between 18-35
  • Commitment towards UN Designated SDGs
  • Be ready to produce short videos talking about climate change and or food security
  • Highly Motivated and passionate about food security and climate change
  • Should be ready to lead a climate change campaign, join and contribute to online advocacy programs on climate change and food security.
  • Should be ready to plant at least 50 fruits trees annually and set up a community or school garden in partnership with any school in their country. 
  • Be open-minded and with a positive attitude. We are looking to find a diverse group of people with different experiences, ideas and backgrounds

Partners:

  • MUST be a registered organization 
  • Committed to the promotion of food security and climate change.
  • Willing to promote agribusiness and youth entrepreneurship.
  • You can conduct small peace activities within your communities.
  • Can organize food security and climate change training and workshops.
